"H-hey!" Jamie has a hurt-puppy sort of expression on his face as he gets punched. It takes him a moment to realize that it may not have been the best idea to actually give in to the impulse to prove he was perfectly capable of making some silly hand sign.

And he can't very well admit that the reason he fudged it in the first place was to see if Claudia would be amused by his original attempt so he could get her to laugh again. She's got a nice laugh.
