"Right now, protection is probably the best thing," Kala said with a sharp nod. "And it might work. I've...never tried to before." Mostly because it wasn't something just readily available, but the idea was definitely appealing considering the apparently dire circumstances. With another self-conscious swipe at her rear end, Kala was finished with the whole suit thing. "Rising Phoenix still needs to be fixed, but she works...most of the time." Her fingers tightened into a fist. "I'm ready to go. We'll find what we're looking for even if it takes a long time."

She closed her eyes for a moment and reached to see if she could sense the device.

There was something muffled up ahead.
