Transmigration 9: Brave New Worlds
Pan-fandom, SciFi, and Screwed-Up
November 22nd, 2011
Not all parts of the city had been explored, that much was true. On to a far corner of the northern side, what was once a beautiful garden was now pieces of cracked paintings and petrified wood. Whatever temperature happened here, the rain seemed to turn to snow once it entered the area, and judging from the amount, the place had not been perturbed for quite a while.

Nestled in the center, a figure stood there, looking like a giant frozen statue in mid-walk. The clothing seemed to be of Japanese-like origin, a bright pink kimono with floral patterns, which was hard to spot in the cold weather.

No one had ventured here. The path leading to it was dark and while not filled with anything particularly dangerous, only those brave...or crazy would want to come here...until now.

[OOC - this is the startup post for the three to find and rescue her. Results for the randomization is coming soon!]

Paco had been among the first people to wake up in a puddle of alien snot in the Pod Caverns. He'd been around to greet almost everyone currently awake on board the ship, if not at Pod Pop then at whatever time he'd been released from the Medbay or from GLaDOS' maze-running. Some people probably thought he was maze-running right now -- he hadn't been causing much of a ruckus lately.

He wasn't running mazes. He hadn't been for awhile, but he really was just waiting for GLaDOS to grab him again to make sure his soul wasn't going to fall out or whatever it was that she tested. With the mood he was in, he wasn't sure that it wasn't about to.

Lately, he had settled himself at the Vatican. He wasn't exactly a big religion kind of guy, he was way more into sleeping in late than dressing up for church and all that. But it was pretty quiet in his corner of the Vatican, and right now he didn't really know where else to turn. He leaned back against the wall, staring up at the ceiling like it might have an answer for him. It didn't, but talking to the ceiling beat talking to himself.

"You pick a lousy-ass time to break out the neck-punching. Just FYI."
The Serenity hadn't changed much. His old cabin was even much the same on board. Fine by him, it was as comfortable as anywhere else, and twice as familiar. There was so much to explore on the larger ship however. The city was immense, though he heeded the warnings to keep alert in the places he wandered. Still places like the Temples and Religion Row were peaceful, and reassuring that bastions of faith and belief had been preserved. He wasn't sure about what happened in the Vatican. Looked like it had been through some rough times and signs of repair were clear. Some time, he wanted to see about what to grow in the gardens. Nothing better than good fresh food from the soil for the body and soul.

But right now, he wanted to take a peek in the Media Library. There was a great deal from the Earth That Was in terms of books, videos, music. Also stories from other worlds. Right now he found a herbology book to glance at. He didn't know what planet had such plants, but it was informative.
