Though quite the elusive figure most of the time, Brother Cargn Thane's presence among the crew has been even more scarce as of late.

At the moment, however, one would be able to come across him inside one of the sensoriums, hard at work studying the crystalline orb that was the Map. The Map floated before him, held in place by the workings of the sensoriums. Before him he held The Key of Titan--a rather tall, gold wrought staff--staring into the empty eyes of the crystalline skull that topped it, using it as a psychic focus for his work.

Surrounding him were what appeared to be holographic chalk boards, scrawled with writing in Cargn's own rather harsh handwriting. They were covered in numerous bits of writing in some sort of unintelligible cant, designed to keep prying eyes from discerning their meaning.

Aegis ascends at quarter.

Serpent unseen.

The Shattered Moon rises.

It all seemed rather confusing and, to most, probably made him appear to be some sort of madman.
It really didn't help things in that he appeared somewhat disheveled and weary. His usual dark grey robe seemed rather worn, as was his bionic right arm. His left arm was wrapped tightly in bandages, covered in spots of dried blood, presumably Cargn's own.

Eventually, even Cargn knew when it was necessary to take a break. Wearily, he set his staff aside, summoning up a chair to sit in. Quietly he sat there, holding his head in his still flesh-and-blood left hand.

Even an Astartes Adept needs rest every now and then.
Many people across the Earth could tell you where they were when they found out the news. That a terrible creature had torn through the the United States, razing the country in a horrific storm of death and destruction. That the Justice League, some of Earth's mightiest heroes, fell before this beast's might. That only one man stood in its way - Superman. And when the dust settled in Metropolis, the beast was stopped... and so was Superman.

But, not everyone knows about that horrific day on Stacy. Perhaps Superboy does. Perhaps one of the Legion. But, as it stands, not even the Clock knew of this moment.

For today, at least, in the middle of the City...

...was the day a Superman died.

(OoC: And after all that talk from the Council about trusting people. Obviously, Superman isn't going to say anything in this entry. Gonna need someone to find him, though. It's gonna look stupid with a dead Superman in the middle of the street for this portion and no one the wiser of it. Beyond that, have fun!)
