Sooo...Meet-y

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their number. After the recent revelation, many of them were even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Brainiac 5 and Sensor were set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

After the unsettling of meeting Alia Atreides, of all people, Sheeana had gone back to searching for more Fremen.

She thought, for a moment she'd found one in Rikku. Same slimness with very little water-fat. Daggers carried at the hip. But the eyes weren't blue-within-blue and the daggers, on closer inspection, weren't curved like crysknives.

Still, it was worth it to say hello and find out what her deal was. "Those are interesting daggers." She said with her best diplomatic expression.

Rikku managed a small smile as someone approached her and brought up a normal topic. "Thanks," she said, flexing her fingers around the handles some, "It's nice to have something from home, you know?" She was doing her best to stay optimistic, but given the current situation, it was... tough.

Sheeana unsnapped the crysknife and its holster from her belt, held it up in her palm. "Mine is too. The crysknife is the sharpest blade in my galaxy." She pulled the handle just a bit, to reveal an inch of gleaming, bone white blade. "It is the weapon of the desert."

Rikku's eyes widened as she looked over the blade. It was beautiful, but of course, she didn't dare touch. "That's amazing," she said, "My home's a desert." Well, it used to be anyway, but that was a topic best left for a later date.

"I had a feeling." She sheathed it and buckled it again. "Would you like to tell me about it? I am Sheeana Brugh, Reverend Mother Superior of the Bene Gesserit order, and I am doing a cultural survey, in order that many of these traditions are not lost."
