Even with Stacy's guidance, it took Tennessee quite a while to find what she was looking for in the more restricted areas of Weapons and Possessions. There's just so damn much stuff—! But she tracked it down, finally: a benign-looking hard-shelled case sized like a coffin, sealed with a series of locks down the side and a reinforced, solid-state control panel.

As she toggles the display controls and starts punching in security codes, and as the container unseals and starts to open with a hiss, she hums dramatically.

Retrieving the shiny-slick bodysuit thing within from the preservative goop it was resting in is easy, though the slime splashes her in the process. She checks that nobody's around, then quickly strips out of her plantsuit, starting to awkwardly work her way into the suit, getting all the support equipment arranged properly against her. (The suit—or the base layer of it, anyway, as there's an assortment of sleek-fitting extra panels and attachments—is form-fitting but not skintight, given the extra thickness of it.)

The torso, the arms... finally she seals the odd segmented helmet in place, the faceplate splitting open to both sides as the suit's systems initialize. Only her face is visible now, with the blue-green mild iridescence of the suit and its slim-fitted back and leg and arm and torso hard-shell packs covering all of her.

Gauron's gotten a little... well, one could hardly call it paranoid over traffic in and out of W&P, given everything that's been going on lately. For the sake of politeness, he's kept his back turned ever since Tess started stripping out of her plantsuit, focusing instead on the copy of the inventory list displayed on his omnicom to make sure her reacquisition of her gear is properly recorded - which it is - though, naked teenage girls are hardly a sight he's unfamiliar with.

However, the security cameras aren't quite so forgiving. "You might want to do that in your quarters, next time," he suggests, back still turned. "I'll have the last couple minutes of this area's video logs automatically deleted, but just so you know, Weapons and Possessions has some of the most comprehensive surveillance on the ship." He glances back over his shoulder at last, feigning surprise at who he finds himself facing. "Oh, hey. Listen, I'm... really sorry for what a complete asshole I was when we ran into eachother down in the Medbay. It was inexcusable of me." If he was less than certain she'd buy into it, he'd be laughing at hearing those words coming from his own mouth - he could have done so much worse to her, and he'd murdered people on far less provocation than what she'd given him, back in his world.

Sometime later, as Tess was turning a corner she got a face full of robot. Robo checked himself just before he ran into her with a muttered apology, then recognized her face, "Oh, hey there Tennessee."

Had he had any fancy scanners in his eyes, it would have been giving him all kinds of crazy readouts on Tess's suit. As it was, he couldn't see anything a regular human couldn't see, but he could still tell it was something out of the ordinary. "Nice suit."

"Ah—sorry," Tess says, a blush spreading across her cheeks. A layer of that mostly-clear preservative goop is on her face now too, and she makes funny little facial tics as she tries to keep it from getting too much in her eyes. (It can't be all that dangerous, by the way she's treating it as an annoyance rather than a hazard—maybe it's even part of the suit's support system?) "I jus'—couldn't wait."

She fiddles with her fingers, making sure that the very well-articulated gloves are sealed on properly. There's something weird about the fingertips—slick patterns etched into the outer surface that might be some kind of detailed pressure sensors, maybe. "...It was my fault," she adds, looking halfway away from him. "I let m'self get too much outta balance back there."

She clicks her teeth and mumbles something, and a pair of long struts pop-slide out from part of the casing on the back like downward-sweeping 'wings', studded with little golf-ball-sized modules. She reaches awkwardly to start checking over the assembly by feel.

"Thanks!" Tess says brightly. "Feels nice t'finally have it back. Felt like I was naked, y'know?" Not that it actually hides any of her noticeably more than the plantsuit did.

There's something weird about her face, at least, Robo will be able to tell—what had been leftover stasis goop has sealed into a slick, form-fitting, transparent membrane as tight to her face as if it had been painted on, even stretching harmlessly over her mouth and nose and eyes. If the helmet is the primary, it seems like it could almost be some crude backup environmental containment system.

Raiden had been searching for what seemed like hours. His gear was incomplete. He was missing his helmet. And though he could manage without it, he preferred to have his sensor array handy when he needed it. He had however, found his coat and had thrown it over the plantsuit he wore. His armor was locked up tight in his room after a thorough cleaning.

His weapons however, were on his person. No matter how the crew seemed to interact with each other, he would stay wary. He'd head the noise coming from this area however, and came to investigate. Rounding a stack of crates, he saw the figure and his hand twitched instinctively for his gun. That is, until he saw the face behind the visor.

Moving into her line of sight, making sure not to startle her, he nodded politely as if it was nothing more than a chance passing in a shopping mall. "Miss."

"Well for part of that, you were naked."

"That ain't what I meant," Tess says while rolling her eyes a little, though the comment seems to have left her in good humor.

"Oh... hey there," Tess says, offering a little wave of wiggly fingers to him.

The suit—well, it doesn't quite look like armor in its styling, though the panels and segmented sections suggest something of the sort. With the helmet closed, it would almost seem like a... pressure suit?

"Whoa!" Cassie wasn't exactly sure what she was looking for but that was not it. "I- hi." Wow, that body was- she was getting jealous.

"Howdy," Tess says, flashing a grin Cassie's way as she twists to poke and prod at one of the hard-shell segments attached to the suit's back. The suit certainly does a good job of flattering the curvaceousness she already has.

"Hey. You must be new or at least I don't recognize your voice. I'm Cassie." It was very flattering. If Cassie weren't secure in her sexuality she might be entertaining some bi curious thoughts.

Oh wait, she wasn't that secure in her sexuality.

"Tennessee Lee, atcher service," Tess says, offering Cassie one of her gloved hands. There's weird etched designs in the fingertips—some kind of pressure sensor system?

And, on a close look now, Cassie will be able to see the slick, form-fitting, transparent membrane sealed over Tess' face, even stretching over her mouth and nose and eyes. It gives an oddly artificial, plasticine visual effect to her exposed skin.

Cassie shook her hand. "Nice to meet you. Uhm, I hope this doesn't sound rude but what are you wearing?"

"My suit," Tess says, striking a little pose. "It's a Wegner if'n y'want to be technical, but I've made plenty o'mods since I got it. I'm a grasshopper, right?" She watches Cassie's face for any signs of recognition.

Recognition? Yeeeeah no.

"You're going to have to explain that to me."

"Well... I can't really show it off in here, but I'm a Jumper." The way she says the word suggests a firmly capital letter. "It ain't fer everybody, but I'm one o'the ones who likes t'wander 'round the galaxy 'n all that."

For just a moment, her gaze halfway verges down, echoing the same sort of appraising look Cassie was giving her before.

"Jumper? Does that involve some kind of teleportation?" Cassie didn't make too much out of that look, it was only fair considering how long she'd been eyeing Tess.

"Well, 'course it does," Tess says. "Ain't so great to use in atmosphere, but get some good star charts, and—pshow~." She makes a little 'whoosh' gesture. That could explain the 'why' of the suit.

Cassie let out a sigh of appreciation. "Flying. That has to be awesome." One more reason to be envious.

The ironic thing, really, is that Tess does fly—just probably not in quite the same way Cassie might be thinking of.

"Well, it can be fun, but you gotta have good conditions," Tess says. "...hey, you know if'n there's any real airlocks 'round here anywhere?"

"Airlocks? Well, probably but do you really want to use them? That's pretty risky." Said the girl who stole pym particles, fought Kang the Conqueror, and was guilty of doing a lot of stupid, risky things.

Tess clicks her teeth and mumbles something, and the suit's oddly-segmented helmet seals forward around her face. "It'd be nice t'at least get a look outside," she says, cleverly-hidden speakers carrying her voice almost as well as if it wasn't sealed up.

A suit and she was pretty too, this was just not fair.

"Yeah but you might want back up just in case. Maybe you could talk to some of the others who have suits?"

And then the forward section of the helmet unseals again, the segments sliding to the sides to expose her face. "I guess so, but it'd be kinduva drag to go find somebodies."

"Maybe but it beats being dead or left behind. Better safe than sorry."
