Robo was in Engineering. He had cleared a table off and was working on something, and was muttering an occasional curse.

You know how it's awkward to put a band-aid on your hand because you can only use one hand? Try reattaching a finger with a soldering iron.

Difficulties aside, Robo was still concentrating on this task with far more intensity than was it required. The task was an excellent distraction against thinking about all the weird shit that had just happened to him.

EDIT: Now that The Middleman has helped him out, he's just doing more general self maintenance.

His design aesthetic? "It does? I'm kind of supposed to be one of a kind"

"It's...the way what I can see of your wiring is linked up and the way you're constructed reminds me of some of Nikola Tesla's later work. But as far as I know he never got into robotics."

"Sharp eye. I guess this is part of that 'many universes' thing, since I was built by Tesla. As far as I know, I was the only robot he ever built, but he did a lot of other weird things.

"Well, I've gotten familiar with his tech, mostly because the 1940's Middleman figured some of it would be best kept under wraps, because, well, you probably know why."

Robo remembered a few key incidents from WWII, "I can imagine why. We almost lost WWII when the Nazis got their hands on Tesla's weather device."

Then, because it never hurt to check around here, what with all the alternate Earths, "There was a WWII in your world, right?"

"Yes. It's one of those things that tend to be ubiquitous on Earths that reached the 1940's, in my experience."
