Following the brief detour through MedBay, Billy trudged onward, relying almost entirely on the force of his will to keep moving. He wasn't entirely familiar with the layout of the City, so he attempted to memorize his path during his search. Adam's message had mentioned a roof?
His eyes scanned every building. Finally, just when he was about to collapse from exhaustion, he spotted a familiar figure on one of the rooftops. "Adam!"
Relief flooded through Billy's body, urging him onward. In a moment, without even waiting for a reply, he was inside the building and ascending the stairs. Then, finally, they were standing across from each other...
...though the distance between them lasted only a second. Billy would possibly regret this later, but he was unable to suppress the irrational urge to wordlessly wrap his arms around his friend. He was here, and they were whole when little else he knew remained intact.
