Date Night! [Closed]

Okay, so it wasn’t quite night, so it didn’t really count as date night. But! It was a date! Her first real date in…a very long time. So, being understandably excited, Kara had done the thing to do and had worn something different for the date. Well, okay, not something different. She only has the plantsuit. But! She’s ripped them up so it looks like she’s wearing hot pants and go-go boots. That’s right, Julian, she’s showing off her shapely gams, and she’s only done that for you so far. She’s still wearing the gold-edged cape, though. Coz, you know, it’s the Super thing to do.

She stood outside the media library, trying to be as cool as Kryptonianly possible, with her arms and legs crossed and what she hoped was a mysterious but alluring smile on her face.

Crap. Was she supposed to bring him flowers or something?

…

Please don’t bring that horrible sludge from the mess hall in place of chocolate.

Julian was not one to keep a pretty girl waiting long, fortunately. He didn't have much in the way of clothes, but he did have his leather jacket. It actually matched the plant suit, surprisingly enough.

Otherwise, he showed up empty handed, as he didn't have much of anything else in locker at W&P. And he wasn't about to bring disgusting mess hall sludge to a date.

He stopped, though, when he first saw Kara. Just when he thought that girl could not get any hotter... He honestly couldn't help the way he sized her up as he strode over to her, but he at least tried to play it cool.

"Well, hello gorgeous."

Ah, so he liked the legs. Good. Very good.

"Hello yourself, handsome" Kara grinned, pushing herself off the pulsing wall. "Love the jacket," she said as she closed the space between them. "It goes so well with the plantsuit," she winked.

She liked showing off her legs. Good. Very good. She also seemed to like flirting, which definitely boded well for their date.

"I like the outfit," of course, that was easy to tell, given the way he was looking at her. He's also like that outfit a lot more if it was crumpled up on the floor next to his. But one step at a time here.

He put an arm around her, and gave her a little kiss on the cheek. "I haven't kept you waiting long, I hope."

Oh, Julian. Kara's legs are her best feature. ~~Next to, you know, the rest of her.~~ Not that she's all arrogant about them or anything. "Well, it's a date. It'd be unfair if I was all dressed up like a space nun, don't you think?" Not that there's anything nun-like or prudish about the plantsuits. There's a lot of her that it doesn't hide. But man, it feels nice having her legs free. "Not at all. Be thankful I'm not a speedster," she winked. Truth was, Kara'd gotten there a bit early. Nervousness and all. Also, superspeed. She indicated the media library behind her. "You know, I actually haven't been in here," she said. "Can't wait to see what I discover inside."

"Really?" He seemed a bit surprised by that. He figured she had seen all of the ship so far already. She had been her far longer than he had. But he'd take advantage of the opportunity. At least she wouldn't know if screwed up with the machine.

"Guess that makes two of us."

He kept his arm around her as he started into the library.

Well, up until this point, most of her time has been spent with Brainy and Kon and Koko and sometimes Cassie. So, yeah. Now she's learning all about the ship...and much more besides. She snuggled up into his arm a little, wrapping her own around him. Carefully. She doesn't want to cut him in half and then get a direct punishment from Stacy. Also, you know. He's cute. Like, really cute. It'd be a total tragedy. "You know what they say," she said, "it's always more fun exploring when there are two of you."

He'll be much more durable once the collar is off. And far less ground bound.

"True. Though I'm surprised no one else has asked you to go exploring." He smirked a bit. "Or was everyone else too afraid of Kon to try?"

Oooh. That will be nice. It gives Kara a chance to...roughen things up.

If things go as imagined.

Stepping right past the green elephant in her mind that is Brainiac 5, Kara smiled and said, "Well, you've met the guy. Do you blame anyone for staying far, far away?" Rules of the first date, as explained to her by Cassie and Courtney: don't ever bring up the ex. Not that Brainy is an ex. He's a lot of things, but an ex? No. Not at all. Not in the slightest. Nope. Because there was never anything between them.

Just like, hopefully, there'll be nothing between Kara and Julian later on.

"But, now that you're here..."

Julian made a soft 'pfft' noise, and waved his hand. "Kon's not scary." At least not to Julian. "Or maybe I'm just fearless. I'd need to be, just to ask out a girl as hot as you."

Managing to tear his eyes away from Kara for a moment, he looked around the Media Library. He noticed all the kiosks, and several of the viewing booths. He directed them towards an empty one.

Kara looked around to see if anyone she was overtly familiar with was in the media library. Out of the corner of her eye she was a girl with wings and pink and black hair looking at them with an amused expression before darting out of the library, leaving a glittery contrail behind her. Kara raised an eyebrow but ignored it before turning back to Julian. "Did you really think I'd say no?"

Julian only smirked at the trail of glitter, but quickly turned his attention back to Kara.

"Not to me." Julian may have lost a lot of things recently, including his powers, but he always had confidence to spare.

He pulled her into one of the booths and closed the door behind them. The next logical move would have to sit down, but he found himself face-to-face with Kara in a nice private space. He really didn't want to move... except to get a little closer.

Kara looked up at Julian. A wry, flirty smile crossed her face even as she blushed a little. "Good call. You're...cute." There was no longer any space between them, and Kara's pulse was racing. He was arrogant and sure of himself. Kara liked that. "So...here we are. You and me. Me and you. In a dark room. Private space. Closed door. It's...cozy." Oh Rao. Oh Rao, Kara, stop talking, please.

"MmmHmmm." His reached up and brushed a lock of her hair to the side of her face. "Very cozy."

And no sooner had he said that then his lips were against hers...

Kara was being as gentle as possible as she wrapped her arms around Julian and pulled him closer to her, kissing him deeply. Oh yes. She was enjoying this quite a lot.

She wasn't the only one. Granted, he didn't know she could break him half if she wanted to (though, if he did, he'd think that was hot), but he was still taking it fairly easy for the moment.

But his hands were still under her cape, and they were making their way towards those legs of hers.

Kara herself was trying to ease back, trying not to go too fast, but it was very hard, and she couldn't help but push herself against him a little more. She moaned softly at the unexpected touch, but she didn't break the kiss. It wasn't like she needed to come up for air for awhile anyway.

Oh, he knew she was definitely ready for more. Without breaking the kiss, he moved them towards the seats so they could get more comfortable.

Oh Julian. And she'd been trying so not to be obvious about it. Without breaking a stride, Kara pulled Julian over on the couch so he was, well, on top of her.

That was just fine with him. It gave his hand far more freedom, and they were more than happy to do some exploring.

It's right then that the door is forced open, and a robot rolls in, waving its half-finished corrugated arms ineffectually.

"BEEP BEEP BEEP WARNING FLESHLINGS BEEP BEEP BEEP! THIS ROOM IS HAZARDOUS!"

It rolls over and plugs itself into the media library consoles.

"I MUST SECURE THE AREA!"

Wait, what? No! There were no hazards! The place was entirely secure! And there was explorinating going on! Kara broke the kiss and turned her head to the side, furrowing her brow. "I, what?! You've got the wrong room!"

"Oh what the hell?!"

Oh he wished he had his tk. He'd toss that thing right out the room.

"BEEP BEEP BEEP FLESHLINGS LEAVE THE AREA! IT MUST BE SECURED!"

The robot starts flicking through different media and eventually stops on Battlefield: Earth. Try to make out while watching John Travolta's horrible acting, you two.

"Hmm. This is rather unusual behavior, but I can't seem to find the glitch in your personality engrams, scout-bot."

Yes, it's Brainiac 5! Who floats into the room and starts scanning the malfunctioning robot, completely not caring if he's interrupting something.

Kara's eyes flared a bright, pulsing red. "I'm pretty sure I can," she said icily. She pushed herself - and Julian, in the process - up off the couch. "Esppecially since it has your sense of timing, Brainiac 5. Shouldn't you be in your lab, getting off with your omnicrud or something?" Oh Brainy. You just pissed off a Kryptonian. One who's ancestors have a bone to pick with your ancestors, and one who currently has a bone to pick with you. And it's not the kind of bone she wants to pick just now. "Can you take your new toy and go elsewhere?"

"You have got to be kidding me."

There had been lots of tongue action. His hands had been having a good time. Several more minutes and he would have been in there ~~or sedated by Stacy~~.

He jerked his thumb at Brainy.

"Is that little baby skrull a friend of yours?"
